Minnesota Radio and TV Stations from the John in Montana Collection
The Minnesota radio and TV stations photos from the John in Montana collection are listed in alphabetical order by call letters.
KSTP: We start with the KSTP facility at 3415 University Avenue right at the boundry of Minneapolis and St. Paul. Home of KSTP-TV Channel 5, KSTP AM
1500, and KSTP-FM 94.5. This photo is from 1987. Note the self-supporting tower behind the station. KSTP AM has been on the air since 1939. Channel 5 since 1948.
WCCO: WCCO AM 830 Minneapolis has been on the air since 1922. Historians may remember the original WLAG call letters.
WCCO stands for Washburn Crosby COmpany, which became General Mills.
This photo from 1987 is of their 625 Second Avenue South downtown Minneapolis location before the building was remodeled. The wonderful
WCCO call letter sign on top of the building is now gone.
Images are the property of John In Montana and may not be used in any form elsewhere.
